New CDS Members

Christian Dragon Slayers
Welcome to all new members

As an officer of the CDS, I want to wish you a hearty welcome! This is the place to play Castle Age (CA) and have good Christian fellowship at the same time. As with any group; there needs to be some rules in order to make the game fun for everyone. The following is a list of the most important rules followed by some ideas and links to help you get the most fun out of the game.

Rules
v  The first and foremost rule is that you be an active Christian. We ask that you put God, family and church before this game.
v  You must at all times conduct yourself as a Christian, through your language and manners.
v  No obscene profile pictures or posting of any offensive material will be tolerated.
v  Only the Guild Master (GM) or one of the officers are allowed to summon Vincent, Alpha Vincent, and Army of the Apocalypse.
v  Only officers may summon GvG battles better known as guild battles (GB).
v  When posting messages on the Guild page in CA, be sure to post in under the appropriate tab.
v  If any member of CDS should leave the guild for any reason, he or she may return to the guild at a later date after being approved through dialog with the GM.
v  All members of CDS shall gain at least one experience level per month.
Here is a link to the Rules document. It is expected of you to read the rules in full and also state that you have read them.

ENCOURAGEMENT
I encourage you to get in and play as much as you want; be a part of this team. Before you know it you will be like a member of the family. You are encouraged to fight monsters, duel others, and fight in the guild battles (GB) and festival battles (FB). There is a lot to learn on your way up, and there are many great players who you can call on for advice. We encourage chat and teamwork during the battles, but if you are the quiet type you are not forced to talk. It is your game, play it like you want.

There are many items to be gotten from fighting monsters and different ones you can only get through fighting in the GB and FB. We encourage you to attend as many of those as possible, but it is not mandatory. We are still a fairly young guild and are still learning, and we make mistakes, so you may see revisions of guild documentation in order to address those mistakes. We are trying to provide you with a clean, wholesome Christian atmosphere to spend some of your down time.

Information
There are two battles that will be fought per day at CDS. The first one will be the guild battle (GB) which is started at 5pm EST/4pm CST and is to be started by any officer who is available at that time. These battles are 5 hours long. The second battle will be the festival battle (FB) which starts precisely at 8pm EST/7pmCST. This battle is only an hour long. Note: There has been a change to the battle schedule for the summer: Click this link for the changes.

As you play you will find it helpful to have a link to the list of players’ elite guard list invitations. We encourage you to use this link and add your own name to it. Keeping your elite guard full; will provide you a little more help while questing and other activities.

If you are going to be fighting in the battles it is beneficial to have a BMI as high as possible; 4 is a good target. The BMI is a total strength, and defense percentage. It is calculated by adding your attack and defense together (not including any bonuses or penalties) then dividing it by your level.

It is recommended that you look at the CDS page for any new announcements. All documents and any revisions are posted there and that is just a few of the many items you will find. Other members post their monsters and anything that they want the guild to know about. We are in the thinking stage of setting up a new location for questions for new players, so they will not get lost in the normal CDS page. Updates to come.

On behalf of the Guild Master, the officers and all members, we welcome you and wish you happy playing. God bless you!
